National Recycling was commissioned by a demolition company to play an advisory role in the removal and dismantling of the Lakeview Generating Station Transformers.
 National Recycling provided its expertise in removal and disposal of large transformers, to allow for cost-efficient and timely project completion.
Items Removed:
- (8) Large Transformers- total weight of 500,000lbs per transformer-
- Oil Removal- OPG had arranged for oil drainage and testing prior to awarding this project.
Removal Method:
- Commissioning a 400 ton Crane- required to safely lift each transformer
- Arranging Transport- dismantling on site was permitted by the client- (15) Heavy Lift floats were required to transport the transformers.
